About the Event
Looking for something fun, hands-on, and educational for the kids these school holidays? Junior Kitchen is the perfect activity!
Designed especially for children aged 8–12, this free workshop combines cooking, learning, and plenty of fun in the kitchen. Led by local nutritionist and growing expert, Nicole Ingram, kids will:
- Discover the basics of healthy eating and why it’s important
- Cook a range of delicious, nutritious dishes using simple recipes
- Take on exciting nutrition challenges that make learning about food fun
- Share their creations together for lunch with new friends
Developing healthy eating habits from an early age sets children up for a lifetime of good choices. This workshop encourages kids to think about where their food comes from, gives them practical cooking skills they can use at home, and builds confidence in the kitchen. Cooking together also sparks teamwork, creativity, and independence – all while having a great time.
